Culture change

I have worked in senior HR positions in the international financial services business over 25 years. In this capacity I have experienced periods of growth, mergers, managing during financial crisis, many reorganizations, innovation initiatives and an IPO (listing of a company). In my roles as HR Director and Head of Leadership & Development, I had the privilege to work with talented leaders and individuals from various countries and cultures, in various business challenges. During this exciting journey I gained a wealth of knowledge and a truly multi-cultural perspective on ‘Work Culture’, co-operation, Talent Agility and Leadership Effectiveness. I designed and delivered leadership and capability building programs as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives. Change has been the constant factor in my work and in the company. I have co-designed smaller and larger culture change programs on local level as well as on international level.

The ingredients of my approach in culture change are amongst others:

  • Coordinate the research to find out what the desired culture should be and why
  • Measure the gap between the current and the desired culture
  • Discover how to make the new culture 'tangible' so all employees in the organisation can understand it
  • Define the right and impactful interventions - in co-creation with employees, teams and managers
  • Discover possible resistance and work with the organisation to solve that
  • Design how to monitor progress - create a constant feedback loop

I am certified in Human Synergetics' OCI (Organization Culture Inventory) tool, which enables you to measure the current and desired culture in an organisation or in a team, a business unit etc., in an easy way.
